What is a payout?

A payout is a single transfer from Bancontact Company into your bank account. It contains the sum of all your sales for a specific calendar day.

Payouts happen daily. Depending on your setup, you can receive one or several payouts a day.

Why do I get multiple payouts in a single day?

Your sales are grouped into a payout based on two things:

  • The bank account (IBAN) receiving the money
  • The closing time for your daily sales

Sales sharing the same bank account and closing time are bundled into one payout. If either setting is different, they are sent as separate payouts.

Example

Imagine you have 5 different Bancontact Pro products:

  • Products 1 & 2 send money to Account A and close at 5 PM -> Payout 1
  • Products 3 & 4 send money to Account A and close at 11 PM -> Payout 2
  • Product 5 sends money to Account B and closes at 5 PM -> Payout 3

This results in three separate payouts for that day. You can customise these settings anytime to fit your business activity.
