How do contactless payments work?
This video shows you, step by step, how contactless payments are made with the Bancontact card.
Contactless symbol
First check whether the contactless symbol is displayed both on your card and on the payment terminal.
At the till
Tell the person at the till that you’d like to pay with Bancontact. As usual, the amount will appear on the payment terminal.
One single movement
Hold your card right next to the contactless symbol on the payment terminal. You’ll see confirmation of your payment and… that’s it!
For amounts in excess of 50 euros, you’ll need to enter your PIN code at the payment terminal.
