The Great Bancontact Payment Survey 2017

The way we pay is at a tipping point. Nearly 8 out of 10 younger Belgians hardly have any cash on them anymore. And about half of the people with a smartphone think mobile payment is a very practical method. These are just two of the many surprising conclusions of the Great Bancontact Payment Survey 2017.

Bancontact will repeat this survey every year to map the trend in Belgian payments. "We want to gain even more insight into consumers and their expectations, in order to continue to offer the best possible payment services. Because in 28 years’ time, Bancontact, as market leader in electronic payments, has never let down its customers", Kim Van Esbroeck explains.
